Successfully flew various aircraft in the frontline fighter squadrons. Oversaw administrative activities such as HR, Polices, Discipline, Appraisal, Maintenance, Record Keeping, etc. Played a vital role in inducting, testing and operationalising a front-line weapon system for the IAF. Entrusted with the additional responsibility of Flight Safety Implementation, awareness and publicity with the locals in an area of 200X200 Kms. Interfaced with local civil administration with involvement in procurement of training aids and training of approx. 300 personnel. Core team member of the core group to induct a new weapon system.

Independently led a flight of state-of-the-art missile system to Gujarat sector; kept the forces ready for war for 11 months after the attack on the parliament in 2001. Led a team of 180 personnel entailing maintenance and upkeep of Runway, taxi ways and other maneuvering areas to a perfect condition to ensure nonstop operations from the base by day and night. Ensured adherence to policies and procedures and all ICAO procedures.

Effectively provided meteorological services on 24X7 environments; undertook anti-bird measures and achieved NIL bird hit incidents in three years. Conducted audits of the maintenance department to ensure aircraft are in good condition. Established a Rescue and Crash Fire Fighting and Station Accident Plan and activated regularly for its veracity.

Instrumental in motivating the team to achieve desired organizational goals. Guided a major operation named ‘Rahat’ during the incessant snowfall in the valley in 2005; 20,000 people were rescued, supplied 3000 tons of logistics to the valley. It won the good will of the civilian populace of the valley and the IAF emerged as ‘Saviors from the Sky’.

Spearheaded a major rescue operation after the valley was hit by an earthquake. Implemented many operational, maintenance and administrative doctrines. Took the Air Base towards being best in Western Command of the IAF.
