Kinematic Aerospace & Defense, LLP (KAAD) is a Start Up and MSME, incorporated on 22 Nov 2022, under Section 12(1) of the Limited Liability Partnership Act 2008 of India, engaged in indigenous design & development of aerospace and defence hardware and software, and manufacturing them by creating suitable clusters of MSMEs with core competencies in appropriate areas. KAAD is also engaged in project conceptualisation, promoting joint ventures, collaborations, strategic partnerships and import substitution. Maj P V Krishnan is the CEO and has served in the artillery branch of the Indian Army for about 18 years, of which four years were in the Weapons & Equipment Directorate of Army HQs. He is M Sc Tech (Weapon Systems), M. Sc Tech (Mil Tech), & MBA (Strategic Materials Management).

It envisages undertaking projects under Make-in-India, IDDM, TDF, iDEX Challenges, I R&D projects under DFPDS 2021, and projects with private industry and academic institutions.

KAAD has extensive experience of the defence industry, from both the ‘User’ and ‘Industry’ perspectives. The Company has on its Team, senior & field-level former servicemen, and former employees of PSUs who have, between them, vast professional and technical knowledge of equipment in as diverse fields as Procurement Procedures, QA, R & D, Operations, manufacturing, Repair & Maintenance and Overhaul & Upgradation. KAAD personnel have been accorded, on many occasions, Indian MoD Security Clearance to participate alongside their foreign and Indian Principals in various Trial and Evaluation procedures. The Panel Members are also keen students of Geo-Politics and Strategic Affairs.

The main activities of the Company are as follows: -

1. Forming technology clusters with SMEs/MSMEs in Defence & Aerospace.
2. Promote Upgradation Projects, Joint development of equipment, Joint Ventures, Indigenisation, Import Substitution, assistance in preparation of Techno Commercial Offers, Trial Evaluations, procedures, etc.
3. Interaction with DRDO for collaboration on Development Projects.
4. Advice on customisation of existing products to meet special local conditions and User Requirements.
5. Conceptualization, design and development of new equipment as per requirements of the customers.

Some of the projects where KAAD has been currently engaged/ envisaged in future are as under: -

1. Development of various types of UAVs and Loitering Munitions.
2. Development of various types of Simulators e.g., Hawk Simulator, Submarine Simulators, AR-VR Simulators, etc.
